The lack of character development, the lack of the passage of time while traveling, the coincidental occurrences and the blatant commercialization of an epic for 4th graders, may not have resonated with your 'Star Wars palate', but fear not. 

If you have nostalgia for the sagely advice of a little green guy with pointy ears. If you cherished the actionless moments of meaningful exchange between master and padawan. If you want substance over sensationalism. There is a solution for you. However, it may not be at your local movie theater. 

Whether it's the subject of purpose, death, destiny, good vs evil, duty, service or emotion, there is now a way that you can satisfy your desire for knowledge and adventure without selling out to, or buying into, Hollywood. There's a new book series about your Universe, your mind, your body, your place in everything and how everything fits together, and how it doesn't. 

The first book, entitled 'Doctrine', goes into all the dogma that you and your forefathers have been exposed to, and most have bought into, hook, line and sinker.
